The Haiti Connection is an effective, dynamic organization that provides information and support to individuals and groups that work on collaborative projects in Haiti.

We need your help, please contribute your time, talents and make a financial donation. This child lives in a cardboard hut, eats every other day and has no clean drinking water. She shares hope, love and dignity; we share our love, respect and resources. Your support for The Haiti Connection helps provide an education, good food and clean water. We help build schools, churches and friendships. We pray, play and work together.

The Haiti Connection organized when friends recognized the need for accurate, accessible information about Haiti. Volunteers designed a web site. The Calendar lists trips and conferences and receives thousands of hits each month. The Resource section has information from local and global organizations. The site is a source for medical referrals, water and nutrition programs, educational opportunities, cultural and spiritual enrichment. We answer questions, refer requests, share supplies and participate in conferences. Volunteers donated new and renovated used computers for two schools, a home for children, a church administrator, a medical student and a literacy program. The Haiti Connection was a regional non-profit; now it is recognized as an international non-government organization (NGO).

In response to requests, we will expand the site with hundreds of additional resources. A new, collaborative project will provide the information and resources for visiting medical teams to work with Haitian health care workers to have immunization clinics for children.

Thank you for your encouragement and contributions. We need volunteers and donations to conduct research, expand the web site, and support effective projects. Please contact us for additional information. Consider an individual or corporate donation, which you may designate in honor of your family or friends.

Sincerely,
Bonnie Y. Elam, Chair
